We are currently looking for physically and mentally healthy participants between the age of 18 and 35.
The goal of this study is to assess how well people can use their attention to vividly imagine stories using different stimuli. You will be presented with various combinations of pictures and sounds, which you will use as the ingredients for your personally imagined events. Note that some of these stimuli are emotionally charged. The study will take place over three sessions, scheduled on three consecutive days. Each session will take between 75 and 90 minutes. During the testing sessions you will perform attention and imagination tasks on a computer.
After signing up, you will receive an email with an information letter and a screening questionnaire to check whether you are eligible to participate. Filling in the screener will only take 3 minutes. If you meet the criteria, we will call you to schedule three sessions. Please note that we can only determine after session 1 whether you can continue with sessions 2 and 3. We cannot disclose the reasons if participation ends after session 1. If this occurs, you will be informed at the end of session 1 and reimbursed for your participation in that session.

Wij zijn opzoek naar fysiek en mentaal gezonde deelnemers tussen de 18 en 35 jaar oud.
Het doel van deze studie is om te onderzoeken hoe goed mensen hun aandacht kunnen gebruiken om levendige verhalen te bedenken aan de hand van verschillende soorten stimuli. Je zult verschillende combinaties van plaatjes en geluiden te zien krijgen, die je vervolgens zult gebruiken als ingrediënten voor jouw persoonlijke verhaaltjes. Let wel op dat sommige van deze stimuli een emotionele lading hebben. De studie vindt plaats tijdens drie sessies op drie achtereenvolgende dagen. Elke sessie duurt tussen de 75 en 90 minuten. Tijdens deze sessie zul je een aandachts- en verbeeldingstaak uitvoeren op de computer.
Na aanmelding ontvang je een e-mail met een toestemmingsformulier en een korte screening om te bepalen of je in aanmerking komt voor deelnamen. Het invullen van de screening duurt slechts 3 minuten. Al je aan de criteria voldoet, zullen we je bellen om een afspraak in te plannen voor de lab sessie. Houd er echter rekening mee dat we pas na sessie 1 kunnen bepalen of je kunt doorgaan met je deelname aan sessie 2 en 3. We mogen de redenen voor het eventueel beëindigen van je deelname na sessie 1 niet bekendmaken. Als je na sessie 1 niet kunt doorgaan, dan informeren we je hierover aan het einde van de sessie en ontvang je een vergoeding voor je deelname aan de eerste sessie.

Do you ever wonder why you see the content you see?
We are looking for participants to share their experiences on personalized contents shown in their media use. The study includes a 5-minute pre-screening questionnaire, and a conversation lasting approximately 45 minutes.
If you are invited for the interview after the pre-screening questionnaire, you may choose one of the following forms of compensation upon completion:
• Participants will receive either a €10 payment;
• 2 Communication Science research credits (for students who need credits).
To participate, you must be a smartphone user aged 16 or older, speak English, and be willing to discuss your everyday experiences with online platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, or any other apps.

Are you interested in how the brain filters distractions while remembering important information? We are conducting a study for our master thesis, come and join us at the UvA!
What will you do?
In a computerized challenge, you will test your focus and reaction speed by scanning dense arrays of objects for a single predefined goal. This task is designed to reveal how the human mind evaluates and rejects distractions in real-time as you search.
Who can participate?
• Age between 18 and 35 years
• Corrected-to-normal or normal vision (glasses and lenses are fine)
• Normal color vision
• No diagnosed attention-related or neurological disorders (ADHD/ADD or Epilepsy)
• No current use of psychoactive medications affecting cognitive function (antidepressants or stimulants)
Overall duration of the experiment: 100 min - max. 120 min (including short breaks)
Compensation: Participants will receive 2 Psychology Research Credits.

In this study, you will complete a simple auditory task in which you will be asked to respond quickly and accurately to one type of sound while withholding your response to another sound. Throughout the task, we will measure your pupil size using an eye-tracker. You will also complete a short questionnaire relating to ADHD-traits.
Participation involves one session lasting approximately 1.5 hours. In return for your time, you will receive 1.5 Psychology Research Credits.
To take part, you must:
-Be aged between 18 and 35 years
-Have normal or corrected-to-normal vision with contact lenses (glasses are not permitted)
-Have normal hearing
-Have a high level of English proficiency (C1 or above) to understand and follow task instructions

Help Us Test a New Virtual Reality Assessment Tool!
We are recruiting male participants (18+) to test a new Virtual Reality task that measures self-regulation.
During the session:
- You will complete an immersive VR task to test your self-regulation
- Fill in several questionnaires
- Complete a lab task
- We will measure your heart rate
- You will fill in a feedback questionnaire about the task.
Duration: approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes
Compensation: 2 psychology reseach credits
Unfortunately you can't participate if you meet the following criteria:
- History of epilepsy
- Current psychotic symptoms
- are female
Your participation will help researchers improve and validate innovative tools for psychological assessment.

You will be presented with various combinations of pictures and sounds, which you will use as the ingredients for your personally imagined events.
The study will take place over three sessions, scheduled on three consecutive days. However, please note that we can only determine after session 1 whether you can continue your participation in sessions 2 and 3. We cannot disclose the reasons for ending your participation after session 1. If you cannot continue after session 1, we will inform you at the end of the session and reimburse you for your participation in the first session. All sessions take 1,5 hours each (4.5 hours in total). During all sessions, you will have to perform an imagination task on the computer. After signing up, you will receive an e-mail containing an informed consent form and a screener to check whether you are eligible to participate. Filling in the screener will only take 3 minutes. If you meet the criteria, we will call you to ask some additional questions and, if you turn out to be eligible, schedule the three lab sessions.

We are conducting a study on how people adapt to working in modern digital and remote teams. We are interested in understanding collaboration, communication, and team decisions in virtual work environments.
We are looking for participants to take part in a fully online study session (100 minutes) that you can join from your own computer. During the session, you will collaborate with others in a virtual scenario designed to simulate digital teamwork.
The entire study takes place online — no in-person attendance is required. You will receive a link to the Zoom session a few hours before your selected date and time.
Participation is completely voluntary. You will receive 2 Psychology Research Credits for taking part in the study.

We're looking for healthy people between 16 - 30 years. You follow an 8-week exercise or yoga program and attend four paid laboratory sessions. Afterwards, you keep your gym subscription for an additional 4 months which gives you free access to individual and group (fitness or yoga) training. For the lab sessions, you receive 15 euro/1,5 credit per hour (=112,50 euro/11,25 credits for the total of 7,5 hours).
The exercise and yoga take place at the University Sports Center (USC), which has several locations in Amsterdam. The lab sessions are performed at the University of Amsterdam (Behavioural Science Lab).
Note that the sessions in the lab include viewing emotional images and hearing sounds that can be experienced as emotionally burdening. Also, electrical stimuli are used of which the strength will be determined on an individual basis. They are harmless but can be experienced as uncomfortable.

Have you ever wondered how implicit visual processing happens? Our research aims to elucidate some factors relating with implicit visual processing using the Continuous Flash Stimulation (CFS) method!
You will take part in a detection task, where you need to indicate whether you see a part of the image or not. We will measure only the response time and the accuracy.
The experiment should take 60 minutes, and you will be rewarded with 1 Psychology Research Credit.
To qualify for participation, you must meet the following criteria:
- Enrollment as a student
- Possession of normal or corrected vision (i.e., unaided or with contact lenses)
- Exclusion of glasses (contact lenses permissible)
- Proficiency in spoken and written English

Heb je je ooit afgevraagd hoe impliciete visuele verwerking in zijn werk gaat? Ons onderzoek heeft als doel om een aantal factoren met betrekking tot impliciete visuele verwerking op te helderen met behulp van de Continuous Flash Stimulation (CFS) taak!
Je neemt deel aan een detectietaak, waarbij je moet aangeven of je een deel van het beeld ziet of niet. We meten alleen de reactietijd en de nauwkeurigheid.

You will be presented with various combinations of pictures and sounds, which you will use as the ingredients for your personally imagined events. The study will take place over three sessions, lasting approximately 75, 45 and 60 minutes, scheduled on three consecutive days. During all sessions, we ask you to perform a computer task while several physiological measures are recorded. This means that during the task, some small sensors will be attached to your body and face. You will not be able to feel activity from these sensors, and they cannot inflict any harm. For these measures to be reliable, it is important to minimise movement.
After signing up, you will receive an e-mail containing an informed consent form and a screener to check whether you are eligible to participate. Filling in the screener will only take 3 minutes. If you meet the criteria, we will call you to schedule three sessions. Please note that we can only determine after session 1 whether you can continue with sessions 2 and 3. Generative AI applications that perform tasks that would otherwise require human intelligence are being introduced and used all over society. In higher education, generative AI tools are being developed with the goal of assisting teachers in their work and facilitating the learning processes of students. For example, AI assessment tools can help teachers assess student assignments. In this survey, we will be asking you how you feel about generative AI in general and what type of generative AI assessment tool you would be comfortable with as a student.

Ontvang 0,5 Psychology RC voor het delen van je mening over het gebruik van generatieve AI voor toetsing in deze korte enquête van 15 tot 20 minuten.
Generatieve AI-toepassingen die taken uitvoeren waarvoor normaal menselijke intelligentie nodig is, worden overal in de samenleving geïntroduceerd en gebruikt. In het hoger onderwijs worden generatieve AI-tools ontwikkeld met als doel docenten te ondersteunen in hun werk en het leerproces van studenten te bevorderen. Zo kunnen AI-beoordelingstools docenten helpen bij het beoordelen van opdrachten van studenten. In deze enquête vragen we je hoe je denkt over generatieve AI in het algemeen en met welk type generatieve AI-beoordelingstool jij je als student prettig zou voelen.

We are looking for participants for a computer-based experiment where you will choose between images and earn rewards. During the task, we use a non-invasive eye tracker to measure natural pupil responses.
Duration: ~90 minutes

Requirements:
- Normal or corrected-to-normal vision (participation without glasses is preferred)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
- Age: 18-35 years

In this experiment we are interested in conscious or unconscious color associations that you (may or may not) have with letters of the alphabet. We are studying how these associations differ across the world's languages. Therefore, to participate in the experiment, your native language must not be English, Dutch, German, or Spanish. The task takes a maximum of 60 minutes, and you will receive 1 Research Credit for your participation.

In dit onderzoek gaan we na in hoeveel dimensies onze persoonlijkheid het beste beschreven kan worden. In een online survey geef je aan in hoeverre diverse persoonlijkheidsbeschrijvingen op jou van toepassing zijn.
Je kunt alleen meedoen als je de Nederlandse taal goed beheerst. Meedoen duurt ongeveer een uur en wordt beloond met 1 Psychology Research Credit.

Altijd al eens een VR-bril willen dragen?
Doe mee aan het onderzoek ervaringen en voorkeuren in de virtuele wereld. Tijdens het labonderzoek zal je verschillende vragenlijsten invullen en twee virtuele werelden betreden. Het onderzoek duurt 40 minuten.
Eet je wel eens vis/vlees en zuivel, spreek je Nederlands en studeer je aan een Nederlandse onderwijsinstelling, dan kan je meedoen!
Als je beide onderdelen afrondt krijg je €7,50 of 2 Research Credits (Communicatiewetenschap).
Ga naar lab.uva.nl en schrijf je in voor het onderzoek ervaringen en voorkeuren in de virtuele wereld.
